Here’s a fun little museum dedicated to the history of salt on Réunion Island. Located on the magnificent Pointe au Sel site (which alone is worth the detour), the museum is linked to the activity of the saltworks on the site, a vestige of a past in which Bourbon Island had to provide for its salt needs. It provides an educational introduction to the history of the site and the salt-making process.
