Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette church

Built in 1859, after a cholera epidemic had stopped at the gates of Saint-Leu, the Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette chapel, perched at the top of a Way of the Cross, attracts large numbers of pilgrims every September 19 to commemorate the miracle. Although of little architectural interest, it remains a lively place of worship, where many Reunionnais come to pay their respects.
