The Noor-al-Islam mosque in Saint-Denis, built in 1905, is the oldest mosque in France. It was rebuilt after a fire in 1974. The architecture is Indian-inspired, with a clean, green-and-white decor. The minaret, whose bulb dominates the town at a height of over thirty meters, calls for prayer every evening at sunset.
This is a great way to discover an important part of Reunionese culture.
