Le Tévelave

The word “Tévelave” is said to have Malagasy origins, meaning “the great forest”. Tévelave is one of the corners of Reunion’s highlands that has best preserved its ancestral traditions, and has been awarded the “Village Créole” label for its authenticity. The village draws its wealth from its primary forest, much to the delight of hikers or simply those seeking a haven of freshness.
