High Mafate circuit

Here are two ideas for multi-day tours of the cirque. “Circuit du Bas Mafate” and this one. There are many possible itineraries. We present here two itineraries which are also complementary and which, in just a few days, will give you an idea of the richness and beauty of the landscapes of this unique cirque.

Itinerary: Col des Boeufs – La Nouvelle (overnight) – Marla (overnight) – Col des Boeufs
Access: Col des Bœufs (from the Salazie cirque)
Duration: 3 days – 2 nights in Mafate. Two to three hours’ walking each day.
Difficulty: family (from 5 years).
Point of departure at Col de Bœufs: you can leave your vehicle in the guarded parking lot, but be aware that there is a charge (€14 per night).
