From the parking lot, Bassin La Paix is a 10-minute walk away, accessed by a staircase cut into the rock. To reach Bassin La Mer, which is more isolated, less frequented and therefore wilder, you’ll need to follow a path for around 45 minutes.
Rushing down the steep mountain slopes, the Rivière des Roches carves a succession of waterfalls and deep basins out of the basalt.
Swimming in the Bassin La Paix is not recommended due to the currents. However, canyoning and rafting activities are available on the Rivière des Roches in complete safety.
