Its high steeple overlooking the surrounding countryside, its original colors and the striking relief of its mouldings make it stand out from afar. Sainte-Anne church was built in 1857. But this first building was extensively modified and enlarged when Father Daudenberger arrived in 1921, turning it into a true architectural masterpiece.

It’s unique in that it features a dual style, blending Gaudian art in the detail of its moldings and Baroque art in its beams and form. You can admire the meticulous detail of the façade, chiselled with fine, delicate mouldings. It was also the setting for a scene in François Truffaut’s film The Mississippi Mermaid.
It has been a listed historic monument since 1982.
